Mickey's

Mickey's is a 16" by 22" watercolor painting.

I was the figure model; I made Bob take the reference photos. The still life of the restaurant struck me as a timeless element in the overlapping of images from the street.

Frontier Days Corral

Frontier Days Corral is a watercolor painting.

I climbed on the fence and liked how the shapes of the horses below fit together.

Fenced In

Fenced In is a 16" by 20" watercolor painting.

I was experimenting with the contrast of leaving the fence elements unpainted in contrast to the horse and barn. This was a nice horse in real life. I think my dad built this fence. My dad loved to build and maintain fences.

Rainy Day Gang

Rainy Day Gang is a 20" by 26" watercolor painting.

Arabian Circle

Arabian Circle is a 18" by 24" watercolor painting.

I was playing with negative space and positive space interacting in the composition.
