3 Queens is a 20" x 26" Prismacolor Pencil drawing on rag paper. 2016

This study in light and shadow continues my exploration of our perception of reality and the essence inherent in objects in our environment. I feel these Night Blooming Cereus possess almost a magical quality and seem to glow in the muted desert where they reside.

This was a commission to add the Predator and Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to an existing piece. It was given as a birthday gift and loved by the recipient.
